2000 Pignoletto
This dry white wine, made from a Pinot Noir cross called
Schönburger, is rich with spice, musk, mandarin and grapefruit that
tease the senses. The name means small pine cone, as does the French word
Pinot, and describes the appearance of the grape bunches.
Try it with Asian food and don't serve it too chilled. We find that this
wine, one of Marilyn's all time favourites, appeals particularly to women.
12.3% alcohol.
Must be cellared cool, as this vintage has been
neither fined nor sterile-filtered and has a tendency to develop sediment
at cellar temperatures above 12°C.
