2001 Ortega
Selected bunches were pressed very lightly without prior
crushing or destemming to make this very limited quantity dry white wine.
It has subtle peach-pit and quince aromas and flavours typical of the
variety and good body and finish - a great wine for food-pairing adventures.
The variety was developed by crossing Müller-Thurgau and Siegerrebe
and ripens with extremely high sugars and good acidity in our area. 12.2%
alcohol.
Sealed with a crown cap instead of a cork to better preserve the quality
of the wine.
