2002 Millecolori
Formerly named Millefiori, a name we discovered is trademarked,
this delicious white wine has tropical fruit/flower aromatics, lovely
acidity which keeps it alive and wonderful clean, dry flavours to match.
It was again cold-fermented and cold-bottled to retain a fresh hint of
spritz. This complex, well-rounded vintage was made by fermenting Siegerrebe,
Madeleine Angevine and Ortega together. It complements fish, poultry and
lighter meats, fruity sauces or those with hints of spice, such as ginger.
It is ever-changing when allowed to warm and open in the glass. 12.7%
alcohol.
You may find "wine diamonds" (colourless,
odourless tartrate crystals that settle to the bottom of the bottle) in
some of our wines, including the Millecolori. These are common in wines
that have not been subjected to freezing temperatures prior to bottling
and are normal, natural and totally harmless to consume. If you prefer
to avoid getting them in the glass, pour carefully at the end of the bottle.
Sealed with a crown cap instead of a cork to better preserve the quality
of the wine.
