2006 Fiorino

This dark purple red wine was created using carbonic maceration on whole clusters of an experimental Gamay crossing unique in Canada to our vineyard in Cobble Hill on Vancouver Island.
The Fiorino is a sheep in wolves clothing! It is bold in colour and aromas reminiscent of violet and red wine poached pear, yet has a delicate white wine palate. This is a great wine for those usually preferring softer white wines, but who would like the benefits of the antioxidants of intensely coloured reds. Enjoy lightly chilled on a summer day.
