    Cioppino's Mediterranean Grill at 1133 Hamilton Street in Yaletown, Vancouver is widely acknowledged as the best expression of Mediterranean cooking in British Columbia and was the 2009 Vancouver Magazine "Restaurant of the Year".     Cobble House B&B in the home of Ingrid and Simon Vermegen, is nestled in a 40-acre private forest, with a creek along one side. Enjoy the birds at their feeders, hear the owls at night, or perhaps catch a glimpse of deer, right from your own room. There are trails on the property on which you can wander. Conveniently located within a short drive of the three main private schools in the area.

    Cowichan Bay Seafood, owned and operated by Anne and Gregg Best and located at 1751 Cowichan Bay Road, phone 250-748-0020, is one of the treasures of North America's first official "Citta Slow", a designation bestowed by Slow Food International. Here you will find honest folks with a commitment to sustainable local seafood. They usually have our balsamic vinegar and verjus in stock, but call ahead to be sure.

    You will find Drumroaster just 1.5 km down the road from us at Valleyview, the community shopping centre. They roast their own coffee, never too dark, and the baking is always fresh from their oven and to die for! I know people who will drive hours just to relax with a Drumroaster latte and brioche or one of their delicious panini. Passionate about quality and committed to fair trade, they often have limited release micro-lots and special purchases. One of our favourites is Pacamara from El Salvador. Phone 250-743-5200.
