Spring was cold and wet and the vineyard was late to "wake up". Cold weather continued and bloom was delayed and fruit set less than ideal. Then we had the most amazing warm, sunny and very dry mid to late summer and autumn! The quality of the earlier varieties is unprecedented. In spite of a few days of rain, this the high sugars continued for our Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. We expect to finish harvest by October 26th and turn our efforts to some special events and tastings.
