2010 Winter Hours and Activities

While our wine shop is not open for drop-in tastings until spring, we welcome those wanting to come by to purchase any time by appointment. If at all possible, phone a day or two ahead, as we are unable to answer the phone when we are outside pruning.

If you would like to arrange a private group tasting over the winter, we can accommodate this for the cost of the wines you would like opened. We can welcome you in our "big room" with a cozy fire and you can spend an hour or two in a guided exploration of VS wines. A tasting of verjus and balsamic vinegar is added to the wine tasting at no cost.

January is pruning time and this year it has begun in the grip of an arctic outflow, with daily temperatures often not climbing above freezing, so we will look twice our size in our multiple layers of clothing. When snow or freezing rain force us out of the vineyard, we will be busy finishing the new wine shop. We could do with some help with insulation and drywall, so if you know any experts in these trades with time for a small job, send them our way!
